Carrie Bradshaw had her money hanging in her closet.

Mine is on the top shelf in my bathroom. LOL

Kind of true though. As a skincare nut… I’ve spent my fair share of monies.

MUCH OF WHICH I’D LIKE BACK.

Oh but some. SOME. I just know that for that time being, daaaamn did it do good things for my skin. Some products are just WORTH IT. Like you’re just like, “mmm yes, luxury.” And “Oh yes girl, YES THIS WORKS.”

Those are the products I’m about to tell you about. Of course- this is just opinion.

And BTW- NOTHING is sponsored here and I DON’T use affiliate links on Violet Fog (haven’t for over a year so if you see them– they old!)

First up: LA MER.

La Mer Blog Review

Ohhhh La Mer. You take so much of my money every year. A tiny jar can cost you upwards of $200. But holy mother effing HECK- it works. Their main selling point is their “miracle broth” from the sea. I truly believe that their moisturizers softens lines. SOFTENS. LINES. You know I love my power houses. I firmly believe that La Mer in one of them.

My two favorites are:
The Moisturizing Cool Gel Cream ($175)- MOST MOISTURIZED I have ever been from a moisturizer. Goes on soooo smooth it’s orgasmic.

The Eye Concentrate. ($215) I tell you what-when I have this eye cream (aka when I can afford it) I am not worried about my crows feet worsening. In fact, they soften. Worth every penny.

Second: Eminence

Eminence Eight Greens Youth Serum

Specially, their Eight Greens Youth Serum. It’s actually not THAT expensive of a line- but still has a price point that makes you go- it better WORK, honey! (And it does work- it even has a 5 star rating on dermstore.)

Why I think this Youth Serum is pricey is because it really only lasts you maybe 3 weeks if you use it every night. For $48- it doesn’t stretch very much. But wow does it brighten and do something for the integrity of your skin. It’s weird to explain but your skin actually feels stronger after using this. More resilient. Definitely brighter. This before an oil or moisturizer is the BEST. This has by far been one of my favorite serums I have ever used. I’ve purchased it at least 5 times.

Third: Laneige Lip Creams

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

Zomg. So this Lip Sleeping Mask is $20 (pricey for a lip product- no?) is amazing. I don’t just wear it at night. I throw it on during the day too. It is very hydrating and full of antioxidants and vitamin C– think lots of BERRIES in the ingredients. I am a big believer in berries! Internally and externally. Anyway- love it love it love it.

What “pricey’s” do you guys swear by?! NEED TO KNOW.

I have been loving Image’s vitamin C-packed serum. I’m so curious about the Eight Greens one though and can’t wait to try it! Thanks for always sharing the gems you find.

Love LaMer too, esp after flights. Happy they came out with a gel version.

Laneige’s sleeping mask for the face helps calm down the redness after catching some sun.

I have’t tried Laneige’s sleeping mask or any of their skin products (only lip) but will look into it! Thank you! 🙂

I love Dermalogica’s Power Rich, which is packaged in 5 tiny tubes, keeping the product fresh. Just a pea-size dab covers my face, moisturizes, and reduces pore size. The smell is wonderful. When my kiddos kiss me after I’ve just put it on, they say, “I will always remember your smell”. And then my heart melts. I am 62 years old and have used Dermalogica for 30 years.
