We are forever in love with the blazer. It goes great over so many different kinds of bottoms. Like all styles of jeans (skinny, flared, boyfriend, etc), shorts (especially denim cutoffs), over cocktail length dresses, over pencil or mini skirts…. just gotta love the versatility of it. It’s a mix of bold and chic. It’s confident in a quiet way. And you can wear blazers to work, on dates, to jazz up a dinner or “going out” outfit… you name it. It’s a dependable piece!
There are many ways to style a blazer. But one practical AND cute way to style it for the winter? With a sweater underneath– sweater sleeves rolled up over the blazer sleeves. The perfect sweater would be one that has a tightly woven knit and fits fairly snug on your body. Pull the sleeves down as far as they roll and roll as many times as desired, so long as it stays comfortable. You don’t want to cut off circulation haha.
This style is SO warm, SO cozy, and also looks really polished.
Cyn’s sweater is by Banana Republic. She’s 5’3”and says she got it in a size small incase you were wondering 🙂 It’s a super flattering fit. Banana has some really cute COZY sweaters right now by the way. And that’s not a sponsored statement… just wanted you guys to know that in case you were in the market. 🙂 I know I am! Personally… I want this one in like… 5 of the colors. I think they’d lay so flattering and would look great with jeans for a simple, casual look. Covered up but still show some shape kind of thing… not to mention they’d also work well under blazers!
Cute blazers? Cyn just got this one (also Banana- size 2) and it’s soooo cute. She’s able to pair it with so many things. But if you really want to go nuts (and broke haha)… the blazers on ASOS right now. Zomg. I kind of want them all. I recommend that site too!
Anyway! What other cozy warm combos do you like when you still want to look a little polished!? Share with us! xx
